There is something really special about all vegan businesses. It’s just a different feeling, walking up to a place and knowing that everything inside is vegan. No need to check the labels or tags, they get it. I cried the first time I went into Food Fight Vegan Grocery.
It’s just… different.
I especially love eating at vegan restaurants. Maybe it’s the piece of mind that comes from knowing that whatever you smell is not an animal being cooked, or it could be the knowledge that no animal products will be stuck to a pan or dish or accidentally dropped in your food, because there aren’t any in the kitchen!
Ever since I “made the crossing” to veganism, whenever I travel, I usually know more about a towns’ vegan restaurants than I do anything else. I just love eating vegan food in a way that I never enjoyed omnivorous meals. If only I could go on a year long road trip eating at every all vegan restaurant in the country…
Kristin Lajeunnesse, Livin’ the Dream!
My name is Kristin and I’m a food and travel enthusiast. The plan is to visit as many, if not every single one, of the 100% vegan restaurants in the United States by October 28th, 2012 – my 30th birthday!
With the help of KickStarter, my tour officially started on my 5 year vegan-versary – August 27th 2011.
So cool! Check out her frequently updated blog- Will Travel For Vegan Food.
For me, the best part about spending money at all-vegan businesses is knowing that, for at least 2 generations, my money will not go to animal abusers, (even more if the employees are vegan and shop at all vegan businesses!). Plus, being inside a vegan business heightens your chance of meeting fellow compassionate, smart vegans, just like Alec Baldwin recently did.
You just never know when true love will strike.
For Alec Baldwin, it happened while he was dining at the Pure Food and Wine. The all vegan restaurant is well-known for its deliciously awesome animal-free cuisine and artistic food presentation. The two hit it off, exchanged numbers, and as of last weekend, are now officially engaged.

All Vegan businesses are just the best! They make money without hurting animals, all while changing hearts and minds (and bellies!) everywhere. When I support an all vegan business, my conscience is quiet.
