Eggs are dangerous. Just one of them is loaded with more than your daily allowance of cholesterol, they are constantly being recalled, and its hard to think for too long about what they are and where they came from before you begin to search for a safer, more humane, plant based option. No matter what type of dish you wish to create, there is an egg replacer for them all.
By and far my favorite go-to egg replacer. Just mix 1 part flax meal and 2 parts warm water, stir and let sit for 1-2 minutes and voila! you have a perfect mixture that will bind together pizza dough, cake mix, muffins, cornbread and much more. I love the hint of a nutty flax taste, too!
Tofu is incredibly versatile, and will take on whatever flavor it is surrounded by. So grab some Silken Organic Tofu and kiss eggs goodbye! (figuratively, of course) Beat the tofu well and then blend into your recipe.
